Before we get too far into 2025, let's take a quick look back at 2024.
Here are the call stats for the year:
30,210 hang ups. We’re not saying it’s Camas, but that’s as many hang-ups as their entire population. (We’ll happily call Camas—or anyone—back anytime!)
65,582 Outbound calls. From tow trucks to transfer calls. If every call was a hot dog, we could sell one to every single fan at a sold-out Seahawks game. (Was it the hot dog or the price that got you?)
157,743 311 & Admin calls. If every call was a step, we'd be able to walk from downtown Vancouver to the top of Mount St Helens. (Give or take...we didn't actually measure this.)
233,636 911 calls. Spread out evenly, that's a call every 2 minutes and 15 seconds, 24/7 for the year. (Sorry guys. That's a lot of hurt.)
391,379 total inbound calls. Line up that many Fred Meyer shopping carts end-to-end and they would stretch from Vancouver to the Boeing field. (And we might only get half of them returned to the corral...)
488,998 Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) events created. (In a shocking coincidence, that's also the exact number of caffeinated beverages our dispatchers consumed in 2024.)
